The Summary Chapter I The Old Sea-Dog at the “Benbow” Inn The story starts in a little inn near the sea that Jim's father kept. One day a strong looking man that was looking like a pirate came into the inn. He ask Jim's father a few questions and decided to stay in the inn. The man wasn't someone who talks too much. All the evenings he spent by drinking rum and singing some pirate songs. One day he called Jim, gave him some money, and told him too look day and night for a man with one leg. Jim waited for this one-leg man all the time but he didn't appear. One day, when Jim's father was sick, the town doctor, Dr. Livesey came to the inn. After he looked Jim's father he he stay a couple of minutes in the inn to smoke some pipe and wait for his horse. He just talked with the other visitors, when the pirate told him to shut up. The doctor and the pirate exchanged a few words. The doctor sad that he is not just a doctor but a law officer, and he will put an eye on him from now on.
